Tap water quality is a subject that not many households are intrinsically knowledgeable about. Although Dutch tap water is portrayed as the best in Europe with 65 quality characteristics.
This water quality perception is correct for extraction from the 23 major underground drinking water sources in our country. From a depth of hundreds of metres, ancient water is extracted. This water is indeed of superior quality. In total, there are 216 drinking water sources. RIVM studies released in January 2021 and June 2021 reveal a frightening picture in terms of pollution with pesticides and PFAS. As many as 1/3 of drinking water sources no longer meet standards.
