Water Ioniser Installation explanation and solutions

The water ioniser installation requirements differ from model to model. For that reason, we describe the requirements here in main points. We can take care of the entire installation for you. There will be a spacer underneath the tap if it is not a designer tap or at the bottom of the kitchen cupboard on the cold water pipe.

Water ioniser installation for countertop model

With a faucet invertor, the water ioniser in terms of cold water supply is connected to the kitchen tap.  It can also be connected directly to the water supply if a small hole can be made in the kitchen worktop or on the side of a kitchen cabinet. There should also be an electrical outlet nearby. The sink should be nearby because the end of the stainless steel hose should extend above the sink. And the waste water drain line is also discharged through the sink. 

Water ioniser installation under countertop model

For this model, a hole of 3.2 cm should be drilled in the kitchen worktop or in the stainless steel part near the sinks.  In the case of a granite or marble countertop, we drill the required hole in the countertop using a diamond drill without waterlogging. In the case of a plastic or wooden countertop, we take care of this for you via another metal drill. In the case of a stainless steel countertop, we have a special metal drill to enlarge the hole each time until the tap can pass through. 

Of course, the most advanced water ioniser in terms of installation requires a power supply to be installed under the kitchen sink cabinet. This includes the electrical installation in the house with the available groups. Preferably, we install a plug box with a switch high up in the kitchen cabinet so that water can never reach it. Usually, by removing the kitchen plinth, we can find a power outlet from the oven or dishwasher that we can hook up to.

For the connection to the cold water pipe, please receive some photos of the current connections to the cold water section of the kitchen tap. Always the right-hand metal hose to the tap. These can be two sizes depending on the age of the kitchen. We place a spacer on this with a connection towards the water ioniser cabinet.
