Why is a maintenance system in a water ioniser so important?

In the past, the power of water ionisers continued to decrease over the years. It was due to scale build-up on the platinum plates in the ioniser. The ORP value then decreases more and more. For this reason, with many other brands, just before replacing a water filter, the system should also be descaled with a chemical substance that is also used in descaling coffee machines. Is osmosis or reverse osmosis dangerous to your health?

There are several systems available for obtaining pure drinking water, including water ionisers with ultra-fine water filters and reverse osmosis systems. Osmosis is a filtration method often used to purify water by forcing it through a membrane to remove contaminants. While osmosis is effective in removing contaminants, it can also remove minerals from the water, reducing its nutritional value.
