Purifying tap water at home is becoming more important. Pesticides in drinking water, pesticides in food and on fruit cause Parkinson's disease and will cause a pandemic by 2040, according to the Brain Foundation. Also, even if these pesticides are not used for a long time, they persist in nature. What has been sprinkled in fields for 50 years is still partly in the soil. In France, Parkinson's has been recognised as an occupational disease for farmers (winemakers) and Germany is considering doing the same. Pesticides on fruit and pesticides in food can thus be traced back up the food chain to farmers. It's time to purify your tap water at home!

Parkinson's is not a disease of old age and constitutes pandamy

Until 2040, the Brain Foundation predicts an explosive increase of Parkinson's disease by as much as 71%. This implies that 82,600 people in the Netherlands will then have to live with Parkinson's disease. And these are certainly not just old people. Neurologist and professor Bas Bloem of Radboud UMC in Nijmegen: It is not an old age disease, you don't get it just because you are old. If it continues it will double the number of patients worldwide to 12.9 million by 2040.

How can pesticides cause Parkinson's disease?
